Welcome to the Dimar hotel
50 years ago, our family built an entire building block in the now legendary neighbourhood of Cánovas. Our love for the city and willingness to share it made us want to create something that could stand the test of time. The Dimar hotel was one of the first hotels in the city.
We’re proud to have been and continue being the heart of the city. A city full of life and thousands of stories and, among all of them, we would love your story to be a part of ours: a story of culture, passion, light, cuisine and energy. Welcome to L'eixample
At the end of the 19th century, Valencia grew quickly and there was a sudden need to expand the city. Thus arose L’Eixample, a new and vibrant district which was intended to add to the modernity of the city. With broad avenues, squares and parks, the streets began to come to life with majestic buildings of a modern and eclectic style.
It grew so much that now it is formed of three neighbourhoods: Gran Vía, known for its broad avenues and stately buildings; Ruzafa, known for its bohemian atmosphere and vibrant cultural life; and El Pla del Remei, with its stylish houses and luxury boutiques.
Valencia’s L’Eixample continues to be a place that is full of life and charm, where architecture is mixed with modernity, life takes place, and in every nook and corner there is a story to be told.
A Story of Valencia
50 years ago, Amparo and Rafael embarked on the journey of their dreams: to create a hotel that would be much more than just a place to sleep. They wanted the Dimar to reflect the essence of Valencia, its energy and its culture, and wished for every guest to feel at home.
In its five decades of history, the Dimar hotel has been witness to countless moments and generations of travellers. Since its beginnings, it has constantly adapted to the needs of each era, while always keeping its essence: a welcoming place where every detail is designed with its guests in mind.
